Award for Retail Innovation

Harleys: The Store for Men in Shorewood, was honored in July by the menswear industry at MR Magazine's annual Uptown Downtown awards ceremony for retail innovation. Each year, this prestigious retail award is granted to a small number of merchants throughout the U.S. and Canada who stand apart from their peers in exceptional ways. The event, that took place at the Four Seasons Restaurant in New York City, was attended by nearly 300 men's apparel executives and retailers.

In presenting the award, Karen Alberg, editor in chief of MR Magazine, the retail industry's largest menswear trade publication, said that Harley exemplifies the spirit of creativity and innovation so critical to specialty store survival. "With its exceptional product mix, community involvement and strong focus on customer service, Harleys represents the specialty store of the future," Alberg observed.

Tim Ryan, president and co-owner of Harleys: The Store for Men, accepted the award on behalf of his store and staff. "I am deeply honored to be chosen to receive this renowned award. Harleys is proud to continue to set the standards of excellence in men's fashion for the past 63 years and serve the Milwaukee community," said Ryan.
